Introduction

WindClan lives in the uplands. Their first leader was Windstar, followed by her mate, Gorsestar. Their first medicine cat was Mothflight, who discovered the Moonstone. ThunderClan cats help to bring them back to their home. They are not hostile to any one clan. They are usually thought of as the weakest clan, but this is false. They are very loyal, tough, and fast. The also are nervous and quick to flee, due to the lack of coverage on the moors where they live. They have short pelts of gray and brown, helping them blend in to the rocks and grass. They have the strongest resolve of all the clans, and they have the advantage of being the closest to StarClan and the Moonstone. Their prey consists of rabbits. They are fleet of foot and are quick witted and fast thinkers. The truest of the Clans they have never stolen prey or started wars, making them the most honest Clan.

WindClan's Forest Territory

  • The WindClan camp is in a natural, sandy dip in the moor, and is heavily sheltered from wind, yet vulnerable to attack.
  • Near the camp is an abandoned badger set, where they learn the smell of badgers.
    • It is a great place to hunt rabbits, as said in Fire and Ice.
  • Separating WindClan and RiverClan's territories is a giant gorge. WindClan elders sometimes boast that they jumped across in when they were warriors.
  • At the rear of WindClan's territory is a Twolegs farm.
  • On the side facing ShadowClan, there is a large rock called Outlook Rock.
    • Apprentices are assigned guard-duty here, where it is easy to spot a cat trespassing

WindClan's Lake Territory

  • There is a stream going through their territory that leads to the Moonpool.
  • Their camp at the lake is a shallow scoop in the ground, and is open to the sky.
    • WindClan prefers sleeping under the sky, but when weather gets bad, they will sleep in abandoned burrows left by foxes and badgers.
  • On the side of their territory facing RiverClan, there is a place where Twolegs keep their horses, called Horseplace.

Rising Storm

A Dangerous Path

Bluestar accused them of stealing ThunderClan's prey, when it was actually the dog pack. Fireheart went behind his leader's back to try to avert a needless battle. They met each other at Fourtrees for a peace talk, and the battle was avoided.

Tallstar doesn't, however, use the ritual words for a deputy ceremony, and passes on after naming his successor. Firestar and Brambleclaw witness Tallstar's death, and go to announce it with Onewhisker to the Clans. Mudclaw is furious at Onewhisker's sudden leadership, and he eventually leads an attack against his new leader. But WindClan is not the only Clan turning against Onewhisker. Hawkfrost from RiverClan, Tigerstar's other son, was secretly gathering cats for Mudclaw's rebellion. Their plan is foiled by StarClan when they strike a tree with lightning, causing it to fall on Mudclaw. Mudclaw died, and a bridge to the Island was made.
